FAQ
Do I need an OBD2 adapter?+
No. Kasokuon syncs to your real car using only GPS and the built-in accelerometer. No cables, no extra hardware.
Does it work on a Tesla / BMW i3 / Toyota Prius?+
Yes. It runs on any iPhone with iOS 16 or later, regardless of EV, hybrid or gas powertrain. It does not depend on the car.
Is it safe to use while driving?+
The settings UI auto-hides above 1 km/h and only returns two seconds after you stop. Please do not interact while driving; treat it like a car stereo.
Can I play it through external speakers?+
We strongly advise against external/roof-top speaker setups. Kasokuon is designed to be played through in-car audio for the safety of pedestrians and cyclists.
What about battery drain?+
Continuous GPS, motion and audio use is heavy. We strongly recommend a car charger. The app warns when Low Power Mode is on.
Where does my location data go?+
Nowhere. All GPS and motion data is processed on-device. Nothing is sent to a server.
